Slixe, lead developer of Xelis, walks us through a from-scratch L1 combining BlockDAG, Twisted ElGamal homomorphic encryption, smart contracts via XELIS-VM, and an ASIC-resistant ChaCha8/Blake3 PoW — all under a fair launch with a transparent dev-fee.

Milestone 1 — Now Live! The network has successfully passed block 465,000. Milestone One: Salvium Assets is now live on mainnet. This marks the activation of user-generated Salvium Assets and the completion of the first major step toward Salvium Two. Salvium Assets introduce a framework for creating and interacting with tokenized value on a privacy-first network, including real-world assets, ownership structures, and other on-chain representations that benefit from confidentiality and control. This lays the foundation for broader utility as the protocol continues to evolve. All users should ensure they are running the latest versions of the software (CLI v1.1.1 or GUI v1.1.1) to remain fully synced with the network. We want to thank everyone who participated in testnet, provided feedback, and supported the rollout leading up to this point. We encourage the community to begin exploring Salvium Assets and continue sharing feedback as usage expands. Further updates will follow as we continue building forward. The Salvium Team $SAL Video
We’ve had: → Private payments → Public DeFi → Tokenized real-world assets But something was missing: Privacy across the entire stack Salvium changes that⬇️ → Private transactions → Private DeFi → Private RWAs → Private smart contracts And the best part? It will all run inside a private ecosystem designed with regulation in mind. Privacy that works in the real world. Salvium is building the foundation for a full suite of private DeFi applications. Not just private money - private programmable finance. $SAL
